The recent case study with TA3 SWIM shows that truly sustainable practices are achievable, benefiting the customer, brands and the planet,” said Whitney Cathcart, co-founder and chief commercial officer of 3DLOOK.

3DLOOKthe world’s leading provider of AI-powered mobile body measurement and virtual try-on solutions, today announced that it achieved a 47% lower return rate for size-related reasons in a case study of 6 months in partnership with the famous Internet company TA3 SWIMMING.

The brand, known for its best-selling shapewear swimwear, has rolled out 3DLOOK’s size recommendations to reduce a high number of size-related returns and provide a smooth online shopping experience. With fit issues contributing to 38% of all apparel returns, TA3 Swim’s need for a solution was further exacerbated by the use of tightly fitting compression fabrics to smooth and sculpt the body, making it crucial to offer every customer their best size. .

Following a 6-month case study, the brand saw an all-time high return rate for size-related reasons of 9% when YourFit is used, which is 47% less than the overall website and 76% less than the market average. On average, 46% of customers using YourFit convert to purchase and 80% choose to purchase the size recommended by YourFit. Additionally, when the recommended size is not selected initially, 45% of customers will return and request an exchange for the size originally recommended by YourFit. Likewise, with YourFit, the brand only experiences a 2% bracketing return rate because providing size recommendations to shoppers eliminates the need to purchase multiple sizes and return the mismatched ones.

“What good is a shapewear if it doesn’t fit well? Size charts don’t work because most shoppers don’t know their measurements – and they shouldn’t expect to do the job anyway. With YourFit, our customers can now snap two photos and instantly receive a trusted recommendation. Feedback related to sizing and bracketing has been our biggest struggle. However, by providing assistance in all the right places, YourFit has worked wonders on return rate of TA3 SWIM,” said Leila Shams, Founder and CEO of TA3 SWIM.

“Garment returns attributed to bracketing and sizing issues account for half of all returns, and a bad fitting experience has more consequences than you might think. In addition to eating away at profit margins and damaging the planet with unnecessary emissions, a bad fitting experience is likely to end your relationship with the consumer because an unhappy customer won’t come back to buy more. The recent case study with TA3 SWIM shows that truly sustainable practices are achievable, benefiting the customer, brands and the planet,” said Whitney Cathcart, co-founder and chief commercial officer of 3DLOOK.

To use YourFit and get instant size recommendations, customers can simply choose a style and click the “Find My Size” button. Guided by voice through a mobile scanning process, they take two photos and YourFit by 3DLOOK calculates the best size option based on their unique body measurements. Completed in 60 seconds, customer data is safe and secure to maintain the privacy of TA3 Swim’s body-conscious customers.
