CLARKSVILLE, TN – Upcoming events and announcements from the Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce during the month of August.

Monday, August 1, the Chamber will hold the monthly meeting Clarksville Young Professionals meet at 1:00 p.m., with a tour of the F&M Bank Arena. Personal protective equipment is required, all participants must wear long pants, thick-soled boots and shirt sleeves covering the shoulders; a helmet, safety glasses, gloves and a reflective vest will be provided. On Thursday, August 11, the Chamber co-hosts a free conference Seminar Growing up with Google: Reach Customers Online Virtually 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Join this information session to learn how to increase your website’s visibility and how Google Search works. On Thursday, August 18, the Chamber is organizing a Women in business lunch 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Tanglewood House, 1601 Madison Street. The guest speaker is Lisa Spencer, chief meteorologist and 22-year veteran of WSMV4 in Nashville. She has been nationally honored with the American Meteorological Society’s Award of Excellence for Broadcast Weather and Broadcaster of the Year by the National Weather Association and recognized five times as the world’s best “weather anchor.” Tennessee by the Tennessee Associated Press. Lisa has won ten regional “Emmys” for her weather reports. The event costs $35 for members and $40 for non-members. Registration is required, contact Terri at [email protected]

Mark your calendars! The 28th Annual Members Golf Scramble will be held Tuesday, September 13 at Swan Lake Golf Course, 581 Dunbar Cave Rd. Cost per player is $75 for members and includes green fees, 1/2 cart, lunch by Jersey Mike’s Subs, drinks and Domino’s Pizza for dinner.
