You may be familiar, but again, this may be new to you. It’s a dish my mom made, and I’ve never come across a potato that I didn’t like, so it’s a perfect dish in my opinion. It’s as easy as it sounds, potatoes and bread! So simple but so delicious.

Looking at the history of the potato sandwich, it looks like the origin may be in UKI Liverpool. The sandwich in Liverpool is called a “end to end”. Basically sliced potatoes on bread. Some recipes call for mayonnaise, but I don’t add condiments, just plain rye bread and potatoes. When I fry the potatoes I use pepper, salt, a little chopped garlic and a little chopped onion. Fry on each side until golden brown. I prefer good rye bread to white bread or rolls.
