Photo provided to The Times Observer Deena Winters has been selected as manager of Kids Town Books, an offshoot of the nonprofit Free Books for Kids Town. The store is located at Warren Antiques, 306 Second Ave.

The only children’s bookstore in the region has a new manager.

He is part of the local non-profit organization Free Books for Kids Town.

“Kids Town Books is located at Warren Antiques at 306 Second Ave. in downtown Warren,” said nonprofit founder Ruby Wiles.

She said Deena Winters has been named the bookstore’s new manager.

“It’s small, but the choice is wide” said Wiles, noting that this marks “the only children’s bookstore within 75 miles.”

All proceeds from book sales will be donated to the efforts of Free Books for Kids Town.

“We are thrilled to have someone as talented and committed as Deena serving our community with the best and widest selection of children’s books,” said Wiles. “If you’ve been in the store recently, you can see his leadership and his passion.

Our goal is to provide our community with the ability to browse wonderful books. My family loves bookstores. We want Warren to be a very special place for children. The bookstore adds to what our community already has.
