“It’s always exciting to launch a new solution on our platform, especially when it adds such tangible value to our customers,” said William Chaney, General Manager of FieldRoutes. “Our solutions are designed to help our customers grow and evolve. The Affiliate Network, part of our new and improved e-commerce platform, does just that by providing a clear win-win scenario for everyone involved. Both companies can take advantage of opportunities they otherwise wouldn’t have, and the customer gets the service they’re looking for without making multiple phone calls.
Many business owners have and continue to face labor shortages, supply chain disruptions and high gasoline prices that can impact their bottom line, especially in today’s difficult economic climate. FieldRoutes says its enhanced e-commerce platform was designed to help pest control product owners capture additional growth opportunities through its online service purchase functionality, and its new streamlined and modern customer experience has resulted in improved conversion rates. From January to May 2022, FieldRoutes reported that its customers using the e-commerce platform saw their conversion rates double.
The company recently commissioned Lucid to conduct an independent research study to better understand the consumer pest control market and found that the first step for the vast majority of those looking for a pest control service is to research on line. This research found that 88% of landlords and tenants who purchased pest control services in the past 12 months said they are likely to purchase services online in the future. According to FieldRoutes, this points to an opportunity for pest control operators to take advantage of e-commerce solutions – like those provided by FieldRoutes.
The research also found that 93% of respondents said they would be likely to consider options, and 86% said they were likely to purchase services, when presented with a hypothetical scenario where they were redirected from a provider outside of their service area to a company that could provide the necessary services.
“As more pest control customers go online to conduct research and book appointments, pest control companies must adapt to support their purchasing preferences,” added Chaney. “Companies that are getting ahead of the curve are now poised to capture market share from those that are waiting, and our FieldRoutes Online Service Purchasing and Affiliate Network solutions are here to help them pull part of this trend.
