The Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) recently announced the launch of its DIY digital portal beta. Digital transformation (DX) has become a key element for business growth and sustainable development. SMBs are no exception and need to step up their pace of DX to cope with new operating models driven by lifestyle changes under the new normal.

Considering these urgent needs, HKPC has collaborated with various industries to build the digital DIY portal with a collection of practical and must-have DX solutions for businesses to select. Digital DIY Portal aims to help local businesses identify suitable DX solutions and connect them to reputable service providers who in turn help them implement DX, improve operational efficiency and unlock new opportunities commercial.

One-stop platform with lots of DX information

The DIY Digital Portal is a one-stop-shop free online platform full of DX information, providing businesses, especially SMBs, a new way to connect with DX solution providers for low-cost and very effective that meet their needs; and provide the latest information on digital and innovation and technology (I&T) activities, and related training courses.

The portal has already collected more than 100 enterprise digital application solutions, covering e-commerce, smart office management, network security solutions, e-marketing, data analytics, and more. start-up costs, which can help ease SMB concerns about the initial investment in DX.

The Digital DIY portal will also invite experts from different fields to regularly share success stories and in-depth analyzes of SME pain points to follow the specific needs of different industries and propose suitable DX solutions. It is hoped that the platform will act as a super-connector and collector of the latest DX information and provide service providers with an additional channel to communicate with SMEs in need. The DIY digital portal received overwhelming support from nearly 100 trade and industry organizations and technology partners across all sectors, making the launch possible.

Grand launch of digital DIY in July
