Today’s featured member, Jurea Rubit, owner of All New LLC, said her company helps homeowners and businesses rehabilitate and/or renovate their homes and buildings for better functionality and use. His organization partners with Puget Sound Construction to consult with homeowners and businesses to identify and provide effective solutions for renovations, additions, and heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC-R).

What do you attribute the success of your business to?

I have read books and attended many seminars on starting, owning, operating and growing a business. I have incorporated some strategies and techniques that have improved my business operations. However, I was reaching my breaking point trying to reorganize and incorporate the knowledge acquired in one go. Then I remembered that the Air Force assigned me a mentor early in my military service who kept me grounded and focused to the point that I was able to accomplish my goals and my Goals. I realized that a mentor was needed to help me as a business owner. So I found a mentor who was familiar with my business plan, my model, my goals and my objectives. Starting today, my mentor keeps me grounded and focused on my company’s mission, vision, goals and objectives and identifies strategies and techniques to generate business and revenue. My mentor contributed to the success of my business. I strongly encourage you to consider a mentor to help you accomplish your future projects.

What advice would you give to someone looking to start or grow their business, or join your field?

The one big piece of advice I give to someone looking to grow their business is to build relationships with your customers. This is advice shared with me by a successful business owner years ago. It is common to provide a service and/or sell a product to a customer. However, it is rewarding to provide this service and/or sell this product to the customer with whom you have developed a relationship. Relationship building allows you to generate more business with that client and/or an opportunity to be referred and/or introduced to potential new clients. The lasting relationships I have developed with my clients have contributed to the success of my business.

How active is your business in your community?

All New LLC has identified and partnered with other disabled veteran business owners: Puget Sound Construction, Military Veteran Solutions LLC, Veterans United and Kingdom Disciples Christian Center. We provided resources and cash vouchers to help families with housing, clothing and school supplies. We are aware of the struggles and difficulties that families face and we wanted to be a blessing to them. We hope to partner with other businesses throughout the year to help support families. There is nothing more rewarding than helping and supporting those in need. I believe that the more you give, the more you will receive.
