Additionally, the introductory price is applicable for the first 10,000 units of the Tata Tiago EV. However, customer test drives will begin in December.

The Tata Tiago EV is powered by either a 19.2kWh motor or a 24kWh unit that supports fast charging. The 19.2 kWh battery develops 60 hp and 110 Nm of torque while offering a range of 250 km on a full charge. The larger 24kWh battery produces 74hp and 114Nm, while Tata Motors claims a range of 315km.

With a DC fast charger, the Tata Tiago EV battery can be charged from 10-80% in 57 minutes, while a 7.2 kW AC charger charges the battery from 0-100% in 3 hours and 36 minutes.

For the price, the Tata Tiago EV is feature-rich as it has a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity, OVRM that can be adjusted and electrically folded, cruise control speed, automatic climate control, rain-sensing windshield wipers, automatic headlights, leatherette seats, and more.

The new Tiago EV is an NCAP 4-star rated hatch and it features dual airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child seat anchors, seat belt reminder and on-the-go parking sensors back, among others. The Tata Tiago EV has no direct competitor in the Indian market and its closest rival is the Tata Tigor EV which is in a different segment.
